RUN IT DOWN contains no networking code at all. It does not send anything anywhere, and it works in airplane mode.

What stays on your phone

Everything you put into the app is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage (Application Support):

• songs you add from Files, Voice Memos, videos or the share sheet;
• recordings you make with LISTEN;
• road maps, your FIX IT changes, saved sets and settings.

None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. If you back up your iPhone (with iCloud Backup or to a computer), these files are included in that backup, the same as other apps' files. That backup belongs to your Apple account and is handled by Apple, not by us. Deleting the app deletes its files from the phone.

The microphone

RUN IT DOWN uses the microphone only while LISTEN is recording, so it can hear the song you play. iOS asks your permission the first time. The recording stays on your phone and is counted there. You can turn microphone access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone; the rest of the app keeps working with songs you add.

Counting happens on the phone

Finding the key, tempo, meter, sections and bar counts all happens on your iPhone. No audio, road map or song name is uploaded for this.

Purchases

RUN IT DOWN is free to try for your first 3 songs. The one-time $0.99 purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, your Apple ID, or your payment details. The app only asks the App Store, on your phone, whether the purchase was made, so it can open the app for you and restore it on a new phone.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect personal information, usage data, diagnostics, contacts, location, identifiers or anything else, and there are no third-party SDKs, ad networks or analytics in the app. On the App Store this is listed as Data Not Collected.

If you email us

If you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use it only to answer you, and we do not share it or add you to any list.

This website

This site has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and its fonts are served from this site. Like any website, the hosting service keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.

Children

RUN IT DOWN does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your choices

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, export or delete. To remove everything RUN IT DOWN stored, delete the app from your iPhone (and from any old phone backups, if you wish).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
